KVM celebrate 40 years in the UK during the UK Concrete Show

Danish concrete and asphalt equipment suppliers KVM celebrated 40 years in the UK with a celebratory dinner at The UK Concrete Show where the company were exhibiting. The event held on 20 April was hosted by David Wykes who joined the business as general manager at the start of 2023. In attendance were representatives from SKAKO Concrete UK, Cemex, Marshalls PLC, Brett Group, Midland Quarry Products, John Wainwright and Co, Johnson Tidsall, Mineral Product Association, Heidelberg Materials and Concrete Connect editor, Clare Howcutt-Kelly.

KVM's UK office near Derby was initially set up to provide stores for essential spare parts to support newly installed concrete block machines in the UK. Some time later, asphalt was added to the product portfolio and a dedicated team to look after both concrete and asphalt markets is now based there.

David Wykes has worked in the construction industry for over 20 years, managing both sales and operational facilities in asphalt as well as having a background in new product development within the construction industry. He is responsible for overall day-to-day operations as well as growing the UK business. He was joined in 2023 by James Weir who has more than 30 years’ experience working in construction materials, supporting engineering projects in the UK. Libby Garland joined in May and supports the sales, administration and distribution of spare parts from the Derby stores to customers across the UK.
