Sustainable building materials manufacturer Partanna have announced the addition of four “senior hires” to its team, alongside the construction of four new factories, as it continues to scale up its operations through-out 2024.

The appointments follow Partanna’s announcement of its collaboration with ROSHN Group for a carbon-negative concrete facility in Saudi Arabia, its signing of a landmark Heads-of-Agreement with the Government of The Bahamas over the delivery of affordable homes, and TopWerk endorsing Partanna as “the number one green alternative to traditional Portland cement”.

The company has also revealed plans to build four factories, including in the Bahamas, Gulf region, and the US.

Kevin MacDonald, Ph.D., PE, FACI, joins as director of engineering, bringing “unparalleled award-winning expertise” in sustainable concrete technology. He is a Fellow of the American Concrete Institute and a member of ASTM, ASCE, the Concrete Society and Professional Engineers Ontario. In his new role, Kevin will drive innovation and technical excellence.

Brian Bush takes on the role of vice president of Texas Market Operations. With a strong background in strategic development and operations in Texas' construction sector, most recently as vice president at Austin Block & Quarry, Brian will be instrumental in expanding Partanna’s footprint in the region.

Brett Murray, appointed as head of marketing, brings over 25 years’ worth of Silicon Valley-based innovation marketing experience to the fore. He’s held senior roles at Walmart, JPMorgan Chase, and smart glass manufacturer View, Inc., as well as a background with storied innovation powerhouses such as Apple and NVIDIA. At Partanna, he will be leveraging his expertise to enhance the company's global presence and market reach.

Aly Boyce joins as director of new business. Having spent her career in operational roles at scaling startups in sustainable food and agriculture, such as Eat Just and Shiru, she has the perfect skillset to drive growth at Partanna. Having grown up in the Bahamas, Aly’s personal experience with climate change deeply aligns her with Partanna’s mission.

Kevin MacDonald, director of engineering at Partanna, states: “The future of sustainable development requires concrete materials that can be part of the climate solution, not the problem. I’ve dedicated my career to developing such materials, but I’ve never come across anything quite like Partanna. Its concrete and binders can lead a paradigm shift in construction and I’m looking forward to furthering the innovation of this exciting technology.”

Rick Fox, CEO and co-founder of Partanna, commented: "These exceptional individuals join us at a pivotal moment. 2024 will be a massive year for the business as we continue to scale globally. New regions, new partnerships, new investment, new factories. All of this requires the right team to make it happen. Their expertise will be invaluable as we build on recent successes, and achieve our ambitious goals over the coming year and beyond. Welcome Kevin, Brian, Brett, and Aly!”
