Professor Chris Goodier PhD FICT FHEA MCIOB MCS is a member of the Concrete Society, a Fellow of the Institute of Concrete Technologists, and has been leading the UK’s research into RAAC. Following the DfE’s announcement not to open some schools containing RAAC earlier this year, concrete was in the media spotlight like never before. Prof Goodier has been leading research into RAAC funded by the NHS, is a member of the IStructE RAAC Study Group and has been advising numerous government and industry parties on the properties of RAAC and how it is different to conventional reinforced concrete.
