ICT offers EN 12390 concrete testing certification

The Institute of Concrete Technology (ICT) is inviting technicians to register for its next ACI–ICT Concrete Compressive Strength Testing Technician certification course, taking place on 12 August 2025 at TCS Ltd in Surrey.

The course certifies competence in key EN 12390 standards used in concrete testing laboratories:

• EN 12390-1: Specimen shape, size and mould requirements
• EN 12390-3: Compressive strength testing procedure
• EN 12390-7: Density testing using water displacement

The one-day session includes a workbook, exam, and practical assessment, and successful participants will receive a 5-year ACI–ICT certificate. The course is priced at £295 + VAT, with the option to secure a place with a £50 deposit.

The ICT says certification helps raise testing standards across the industry and gives lab technicians a recognised benchmark of competence.
