Cloud-based PAT system streamlines electrical safety compliance

Seaward Electronics has launched PATGuard Cloud, a new cloud-based platform that allows building and construction professionals to manage portable appliance testing (PAT) records, schedules, and reports across projects and sites.

The system provides secure, real-time access to testing data, asset registers, and compliance documentation from any device, helping users maintain up-to-date safety records without being tied to a single computer. It also supports automated retest scheduling, role-based permissions, and integration with all major downloadable PAT testers.

Designed with evolving regulatory standards in mind – including the forthcoming EU Cyber Resilience Act – PATGuard Cloud enables users to manage sensitive data securely while demonstrating compliance to clients and regulators.

Nathan Barwell, head of category management at Seaward, said: “This launch marks a significant step forward for PAT professionals operating in modern test environments. The new PATGuard Cloud makes it easier to manage data securely, run reports and stay on top of compliance without being tied to a single device.”

For companies in the concrete production, contracting, and precast sectors, PATGuard Cloud offers a flexible way to maintain electrical safety compliance across multiple sites and depots – helping reduce downtime and support best practice in equipment management.
