GRCA appoints Richard Lavery as new chair
Richard Lavery of Power-Sprays has been appointed chair of the International Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete Association (GRCA), following a council vote earlier this month (September).
Lavery, who previously served as vice-chair, succeeds outgoing chair Simon Hertzum, who led the association for six years. Bertrand Duparc Ponsin now takes over the role of vice-chair.
New council members were also confirmed at the meeting: Carsten Ravnhøj of BB fiberbeton and Daniel McCormick of MCC, with Erik Pram Nielsen re-elected.
Speaking after the announcement, Lavery said: “I am honoured to be elected as chairman of the GRCA and grateful for the confidence shown in me. I look forward to working with members to further develop the association.”
He added: “I would also like to thank Simon Hertzum. Under Simon’s chairmanship, the association has achieved significant membership growth and substantially enhanced its international influence, leaving us in a far stronger position to address our future challenges.”
The GRCA represents manufacturers, specifiers, and suppliers in the glassfibre reinforced concrete industry worldwide.
