Eversheds Sutherland has expanded its Construction and Engineering team with a series of senior hires, reflecting increased demand for specialist legal expertise on major UK and international projects.

Ben Peecock joins as a partner from DLA Piper, bringing over 20 years’ experience advising on complex civil engineering and infrastructure developments, with a focus on green energy and nationally significant projects. His practice spans NEC, FIDIC, IChemE, and JCT contracts, supporting contractors, developers and funders across sectors including energy, transport, and manufacturing.

The appointment follows recent hires of John Lurie and James Holden, strengthening the firm’s capabilities in project delivery and dispute resolution across the UK, Middle East and Africa. Lauren Morrison also joins as legal director in Scotland, while new partners in Dublin and Belfast further expand Eversheds Sutherland’s cross-border expertise.

Jonathan Douglas, head of construction and engineering, said the expansion demonstrates the firm’s commitment to supporting clients on large-scale, complex projects both in the UK and globally.
