PERI UK and SWS launch integrated waterproofing solution

PERI UK has partnered with specialist contractor Structural Waterproofing Services (SWS) to deliver a fully integrated waterproofing and formwork solution for concrete structures, aimed at simplifying project delivery and reducing risk on UK construction sites.

The collaboration brings together PERI UK’s German-engineered BPA product range and technical support with SWS’s proven installation and design expertise. The result is an end-to-end service that spans early-stage design, materials specification, installation and final sign-off—backed by warranty and full accountability.

“For our customers, this partnership means a simplified and risk-free approach to waterproofing,” said David Shoolheifer, director and general manager for business development at SWS. “Contractors benefit from the peace of mind that comes with a single, integrated team handling everything.”

The partnership is targeted at projects where robust Type A barrier protection is critical—particularly infrastructure and basement construction—areas where poor waterproofing can lead to costly remedial work. By integrating waterproofing needs at the formwork stage, the partners aim to reduce over-specification and ensure systems are value engineered to suit individual project needs.

The partnership has already delivered results. On the Treetops dental surgery extension project in Wolverhampton, SWS and PERI UK worked alongside contractor Newman & Green to deliver a basement waterproofing solution combining BPA’s Dualproof C membrane, CEMflex steel plate waterstop and Quellmax Bentonite. The early coordination helped avoid clashes and streamlined installation on site.

“The technical synergies between our methodologies and PERI UK's products create a waterproofing solution that excels in both performance and practicality,” added Kim Hammond, technical and operations manager at SWS.

PERI UK’s Neale Beardsley said the partnership sets “a new standard for seamless and reliable waterproofing,” while Kimberley Goodwin, southern sales manager, stressed the practical advantages: “Whether we’re advising on CEMflex or specifying Dualproof membranes, we’re there to support the project throughout.”

By aligning formwork and waterproofing under a single delivery model, the collaboration offers a clearer path to long-term water protection and fewer contractual headaches—an approach both companies believe will set a new benchmark for quality and accountability in UK concrete construction.
