Trelawny launches battery-powered surface prep range
Trelawny unveils cordless tools for concrete surface preparation
Trelawny SPT has launched VoltMax, a new range of battery-powered floor preparation machines designed for concrete grinding, scarifying and stripping.
The three initial models – the TFP200 Floor Scarifier, TCG250 Floor Grinder, and TFS230 Floor Stripper – are powered by 82V lithium-ion batteries, offering zero-emission operation with reduced hand-arm vibration (HAV) and noise levels.
Suitable for use on concrete floors, the machines provide cordless flexibility for repair, refurbishment and renovation projects where mains or generator power may be limited.
“VoltMax is a continuation of Trelawny’s 80-year journey of innovation and quality,” said Dan Rowledge, managing director at Trelawny. “Cordless tools are now a reality for heavier-duty surface prep, and the benefits are already clear to our customers.”
Each model is capable of up to one hour of operation, with dual-port fast charging to minimise downtime. Trelawny says the battery platform will soon be rolled out across more products in its range, which includes tools widely used for concrete floor preparation.
The machines have already been previewed at the Executive Hire Show, with strong feedback from equipment buyers and contractors. The company, based in Leamington Spa, is part of Sweden’s Indutrade Group and is actively progressing its NetZero2030 goals.
