Cortec updates MCI brochure for concrete protection
Cortec has released a new consolidated brochure for its MCI range, bringing together admixtures, surface treatments, and repair products into a single guide for tackling corrosion in reinforced concrete.
MCI – which stands for migrating corrosion inhibitor – is a technology designed to protect embedded steel by slowing corrosion processes, extending service life and reducing repair frequency. The new brochure updates the brand’s visual identity while offering a clear, practical reference for engineers, contractors, and specifiers working across the concrete sector.
The guide is organised around four product categories:
- Admixtures
- Topical treatments
- Repair mortars
- Specialty products
Each section includes test data and case studies, with a central application guide outlining appropriate MCI solutions for:
- New construction
- Existing structures with no visible damage
- Structures with visible corrosion damage
The document also integrates Cortec’s High Performance Repair System, previously published separately, making it easier to compare lifecycle options in one place.
Cortec says the updated resource is intended to help the industry navigate the transition to more sustainable infrastructure, by offering targeted, scalable methods for reducing deterioration and extending structural longevity.
