Diamond Hire and Sales marks 20 years supplying specialist plant

Diamond Hire and Sales is celebrating 20 years of serving the UK construction industry, marking two decades of growth from a small plant hire venture to a national supplier of specialist equipment.

Founded in Camberley in 2005 by Mark Castle and Graham Pryor, the business was set up to give contractors the option of hiring equipment rather than paying for operated services. Today, based in Farnborough, it provides a broad range of specialist plant designed to reduce fumes, dust, noise, vibration and manual handling risks on site.

Its hire fleet includes diamond drilling rigs, floor saws, Brokk demolition robots, vacuum excavators, electric JCBs and LiuGong diggers – equipment used on projects ranging from Heathrow Airport to HS2 and Hinkley Point C.

Scott Brown, general manager, said: “You might find a company hiring Brokks, or a business offering electric diggers, but not the full range. We are in our own lane here.”

Managing director Mark Castle added: “I believe our success has been down to commitment, dedication, self-belief and being niche. All key components bound together by a great team and positive leadership.”

Diamond Hire and Sales’ niche position in the market has seen it recognised for supplying increasingly eco-friendly and high-tech machinery to both SMEs and major contractors. The company says its specialist approach will continue to support safe, efficient and sustainable construction across the UK.
