London Lintels has opened a second site in Essex, strengthening its position as a key distributor of lintels and structural building materials across the UK.

The expansion follows the company’s recent acquisition by Milbank Group, a family-owned construction investment business. The new facility is expected to increase stockholding, expand capacity and improve delivery times for customers in London, the South and nationwide.

Based in Winchester, London Lintels has built its reputation over more than 20 years as a specialist supplier, holding extensive stocks of non-standard products rarely available from general merchants. Its range includes Naylor concrete lintels and padstones, alongside Catnic and Birtley lintels and wind posts by ACS Stainless Steel Fixings.

Managing director Steve Barnett said the investment would allow the business to strengthen its customer service and reliability: “I want to reassure our customers it’s business as usual, and the same team will deliver the service and support you’ve always relied on. With Milbank Group’s backing and deep construction industry experience, we can strengthen what we already do best while exploring new opportunities for the future.”

The company, which has grown through referrals and repeat business, offers next-day delivery on hundreds of items and is known for its customer-first approach. Barnett added:
“Our promise has always been simple: support when you need it. With Milbank behind us, we’re confident we can continue delivering on that promise today and long into the future.”

London Lintels said the Essex site marks a significant step in its growth journey, with greater capacity and improved service for builders, developers and merchants across the UK.
