High-precision weighing upgrade for concrete producers

Minebea Intec has launched a new series of weight indicators and floor scales designed to improve accuracy, process reliability, and data integration in heavy-duty production environments – including concrete batching and precast operations.

Part of the company’s expanding MiNexx product family, the new indicators offer precision weighing, real-time data visualisation, and integration with plant control and ERP systems. Built-in cybersecurity features comply with IEC 62443, while role-based user access supports safe operation on busy sites.

The flagship MiNexx 3000 floor scale provides a high-resolution weighing platform with up to 6-tonne capacity, making it suitable for weighing large concrete elements, aggregates and moulds. A hinged load plate allows for easy cleaning, while a tear-resistant surface supports safe handling in dusty, wet or abrasive conditions typical of concrete plants.

“With weighing accuracy playing a vital role in concrete batching, especially for low-carbon and high-specification mixes, this technology supports consistent quality and better material traceability,” said Nils Hubrich, product manager at Minebea Intec.

The new MiNexx range is available now, and is being promoted as a solution for improving yield, reducing batch errors, and supporting digital transformation in industrial-scale material handling.
