Concrete admixture manufacturer Oscrete has strengthened its position in the specialist glassfibre reinforced concrete (GRC) sector by taking on the customer base of Cemcotec, the consultancy founded by GRC pioneer Graham T Gilbert.

The move follows Oscrete’s recent acquisition of structural waterproofing brand PUDLO and forms part of its wider growth strategy. Under the arrangement, Cemcotec customers will now be supported by Oscrete’s team, while Gilbert will continue to provide independent consultancy to GRC manufacturers.

Scott Wilson, director at Oscrete, said the integration would “enhance the level of service and technical support” the company can offer. Gilbert, who has worked in GRC for more than 50 years, added that Oscrete’s logistics, laboratory and admixture expertise made it the “right fit” for his long-standing clients.

Founded in 1983, Oscrete is a UK-based manufacturer of admixtures for precast, ready-mix and mortar applications, with a growing focus on specialist and low-carbon solutions.
