Spotmix launches on-demand liquid screed service in North West

Liverpool-based supplier Spotmix Ready Mixed Concrete has launched an on-demand liquid screed delivery service for contractors across Merseyside, Wirral and the North West, introducing a flexible, pay-as-you-pour model designed to eliminate waste and reduce costs.

Using volumetric Bay-Lynx trucks adapted for screed delivery, Spotmix mixes material on-site to the exact volume required, allowing trade customers to “pay only for what you use.” The service aims to solve long-standing challenges with over-ordering, rigid delivery slots and inconsistent screed quality that often disrupt project schedules.

James Hunter, head of operations at Spotmix, said: “Too often, contractors over-order to avoid shortages, leading to unnecessary waste and added cost. Our liquid screed solution gives them exactly what they need, when they need it – no more, no less.”

Developed in partnership with Longfloor, a leading UK provider of cement-based, free-flowing screeds, the service offers guaranteed quality and same-day or scheduled delivery options. Each batch meets strict flow, strength and drying standards while supporting faster installation times — particularly for flooring and underfloor heating projects requiring precise, controlled pours.

The model supports wider sustainability goals by minimising material waste, disposal costs, and carbon footprint, aligning with the construction sector’s drive for low-carbon logistics and efficient resource use.

With over 40 years’ experience in volumetric concrete delivery, Spotmix is extending its expertise into screeds to provide contractors with greater flexibility, reduced risk, and improved cashflow.
