Roger Bullivant (RBL) has appointed Kris Hand as operations manager for its South Central residential team. Hand brings more than 25 years’ experience in piling and ground engineering, with a particular focus on precast foundation systems.

Hand began his career with RBL in 2000 as a contract engineer, helping modernise site setting-out by introducing robotic instrumentation—improving accuracy and efficiency now embedded in today’s precast foundation workflows. He subsequently held senior operational roles elsewhere in the sector, overseeing design, installation and commercial delivery.

In his new role, Hand will support residential clients across the South Central region, prioritising reliability, standardised working practices and clear communication. “I’m most excited by the opportunity to support the next generation of engineering talent,” he said. “RBL has always fostered a culture of trust and growth, and I’m happy to add my support to Gareth’s team in any way I can.”

Gareth Griffiths, residential divisional manager at RBL, said: “Kris brings a rare combination of technical expertise, operational leadership and genuine care for people. His experience across the industry will be invaluable as we strengthen our residential offering and drive consistency across the region and wider business.”

Immediate priorities include team engagement, reviewing RBL’s residential products and services, and aligning site practices across the South Central area. The approach is rooted in safety, collaboration and making best use of in-house expertise. RBL says Hand’s return comes as it balances residential and non-residential workloads and continues to target efficiency and long-term resilience.
