Ammann launches self-service batching plant
Ammann Group has launched a new compact concrete plant designed specifically for small-scale delivery operations. The Ammann Elba CFS (Concrete Filling Station) is aimed at urban sites, contractor depots and DIY markets, providing automated batching and direct vehicle loading for small trucks, pickups or trailers.
Unveiled at Bauma Munich, the Elba CFS drew attention for its compact footprint and customer-friendly design. Unlike larger batching systems, it is built for practicality—supporting on-demand delivery of small concrete volumes without the need for conveyor belts or manual supervision.
“This unit fills a clear gap in the market for high-quality, small-batch concrete production,” said Marc Rial, global head of marketing communications at Ammann Group. “It provides reliable performance in a user-friendly format.”
The fully automated plant allows self-service operation using barcode or QR scanning, and supports payment by credit or debit card. This makes it suitable for locations such as hire yards, retail outlets or distribution centres that want to offer on-demand concrete without dedicated staff.
The CFS uses Ammann Elba’s established batching technology and includes separate weighing hoppers for aggregate, cement and water—improving dosing accuracy and mix consistency. Its direct discharge feature removes the need for conveyor belts, reducing maintenance and cleaning time, while modular layouts allow tailored cement and aggregate storage.
